One of my earlier projects, this animation was based on my interpretation of modern life. The aim was to explore how individuals perceive themselves as they exist within modern society, touching briefly on concepts from technology to war. The idea – To explore how individuals suffer in silence by hiding in their homes, or “box” – came to us as someone suggested it as their view of modern life. With this perspective in mind, I wanted to create a project which could connect with and relate to the target audience, capturing the emotions that I believe many members of society struggle with daily.

The snaps below demonstrate some of my ideas/character illustrations as well as experimentation with walk cycles. The initial drawings stemmed from producing cartoon-like characters whilst peering through the lens of societal exclusion/separation.
